“You may not be the best, the strongest, or the brightest, but you might just be the only one willing to put yourself out there. The time may come when you choose to do the difficult right over the easy wrong. When that day comes, do your best and be prepared to do it again, and again, and again.”
–Christian Craighead
We can often find ourselves at a crossroads, not just in monumental, life-changing ways like the situation Christian found himself in, but in our own day to day life.
The crossroads is this: to take the easy wrong way, or the hard right way. Oftentimes, the hard way will require diligent, mindful work, and will require sacrifice. The path is long and winding, the end of which is distant or even unseen, and the journey is known to be arduous. Yet we know that deep down, the vista at the end of this journey will be far greater than the overlook from the top of the easy path.
All we have to do is choose, and continue to make that choice by putting one foot in front of the other. Eventually we will arrive and be that much better for it.And the best part is, we don’t have to go it alone.
